The Archive of Lost Memories
A collection of the photographs, notes and pieces of ephemera we have come across, scanned and transcribed for preservation whether or not they are for sale. Sold pieces stay here and are marked.
The entries
Everything scanned so far. Search a name, a town, a year, or a word from the back of a photograph.
The first entries are being scanned.
Photographs, handwritten paper and fabric arts go in here as they are scanned and transcribed, whether or not they are for sale.
Lost memories
We adore collecting old photographs, and giving others the chance to hold these lost memories in their hands.
When a photograph sits on someone's shelf, they may be the only one able to enjoy it. So we put in the extra effort to archive and preserve the lost memories of the people we come across, so that others may remember them, and may even help identify them.
Recognise a face?
If you know who somebody in the archive was, write and tell us. We keep the file open.
